Bedroom Invasion | 2019

a story about betrayal

He felt the familiar tingle in the stomach the moment the doors closed behind him.
He walked in slowly and quietly, almost on tiptoes, as if expecting to encounter an intruder, a thief rummaging through what was not his.

He took a long breath in; the scent was different this time but still foreign.

This was the last lick and the final stroke. So he sat down and crafted a letter, careful not to leave any fingerprints behind. He put his own address on the envelope.

Like a serial killer on the run playing cat and mouse with the cops.
